Movecraft allows you to create stationary turrets which can be rotated just with a click of a sign. They can also be added to other movecraft, such as tanks and vehicles. More on that later in the article.

Creating a Turret

Turrets can be made with all blocks except the following:

  • grass
  • Chests
  • dirt
  • water
  • lava
  • hardened clay
  • coal blocks
  • White wool
  • Cracked Stone Bricks
  • Brick blocks
  • Brick stairs

In order to seperate the turret from the ground or vehicle that the turret will be on, we need to use a buffer block, so that the movecraft mod can tell what makes up the turret. The following blocks are used as buffer blocks:

  • Cracked Stone Bricks
  • Brick blocks
  • Brick stairs
  • White wool
  • Hardened clay (cant be used on vehicles, so only good for stationary turrets, like those on a fort)

Here, we will be putting a turret on a movecraft tank. Firt we will put down the buffer blocks which the turret will lay on.

Now, we can add the turret. Note how there is enough buffer blocks around the turret to seperate it from the rest of the tank

Now, put a sign in the center of the turret. Put Subcraft Rotate on the first line, and Turret on the second line. Then click the sign for the little wheel at the bottom to appear 2014-06-10 17.29.07.png

You have now created a turret

Using a turret

To use the turret, simple left click or right click the sign you place in the center of the turret.

  • Left click the sign to rotate the turret left
  • right click the sign to rotate the turret right

Turrets require no fuel or engines to operate
